International Hip-hop documentarian launches
Sankofa Tour 2005
Eli Jacobs-Fantauzzi, director/producer of the films Inventos:
Hip Hop Cubano and Homegrown: Hip
Life In Ghana has decided to broaden the reach
of his groundbreaking documentaries by using the films’
popularity to inspire support for progressive Hip Hop communities
around the world.
Eli recently completed one year of touring with Inventos: Hip
Hop Cubano nationally and internationally, holding screenings
in theaters, community centers, universities, high schools,
and group homes. The Inventos Sankofa Tour
will launch this July in Columbia, making its way to Venezuela,
Dominican Republic, and other islands in the Caribbean. With
your support, we will be able to travel in order to
donate much needed equipment and resources to artists who inspire
and uplift the international Hip Hop community.
Global Hip Hop is often faced with the challenge of having to
create without proper technological tools and media resources.
The Inventos Sankofa Tour hopes to mobilize
our communities’ outstanding network of audiences, aficionados,
and supporters to donate the tools and equipment needed to keep
